About
Carved out of the old Selous Game Reserve, Nyerere is enormous and empty by the standards of the northern circuit, and its character comes from the Rufiji — boat safaris past hippo pods and crocodile sandbanks, oxbow lakes drawing elephant and buffalo down to drink, and walking safaris that are allowed here as they are not in the crowded parks.
