Camp Salamat

A simple camp of ten locally designed thatched rooms on the Salamat River downstream of Tinga, with shared kitchen and dining areas. African Parks built it mainly to give Chadian visitors, school groups and local communities free access to the park, and stays are arranged by enquiry rather than through booking sites. Realistic only for travellers comfortable with basic, self-catered facilities. Available during the park season, roughly late November to the end of May.
