Ruaha National Park
Tanzania's largest park, and one of its emptiest — big predators, few vehicles.
About
Ruaha is enormous and comparatively unvisited, which is its whole appeal. It sits on a transition zone between East and Southern African ecosystems, so greater and lesser kudu occur alongside East African species, and it holds one of the largest remaining lion populations on the continent along with substantial wild dog and leopard numbers. Drives follow the Great Ruaha river through baobab country.
