Madagascar's main island resort, with diving, whale sharks and ylang-ylang.
About
Nosy Be sits off the north-west coast and is the easiest introduction to Madagascar — warm water, reefs and a string of smaller islands offshore, including Nosy Iranja's sandbar and the marine reserve at Nosy Tanikely. Whale sharks appear from roughly September to December, and the island's plantations of ylang-ylang scent the air inland.
