About
Mafia sits south of Zanzibar and gets a fraction of its visitors. The marine park protects coral gardens, mangrove channels and the Chole bay reefs, turtles nest on Juani, and whale sharks feed in the shallows off Kilindoni for months at a time — snorkelling with them here is done from small boats, without the crowds elsewhere.
