Kafue National Park
Zambia's largest park — Busanga's flooded plains, cats and open space.
About
Kafue is bigger than Wales and still lightly visited. The Busanga Plains in the north flood each year and then dry into grassland where red lechwe gather in thousands, drawing lion that famously climb trees here; the Kafue river through the middle is the way to see hippo, crocodile and the park's enormous bird list. Cheetah and wild dog are both present.
