About
Fish River Canyon is 160 kilometres long and up to 550 metres deep, a raw landscape of rock with a river that shrinks to a chain of pools in the dry season. Most people look at it from the rim viewpoints near Hobas; the serious version is the five-day hike along the canyon floor, open in the cooler months to permit holders only.
